Knut Smith-Erichsen

Knut assists private equity funds, financial advisers and other financial and industrial players in a broad range of corporate and M&A matters, with a particular focus on private equity transactions. Knut advises on all stages of a transaction and have extensive experience on LBOs, MBOs, mergers, demergers, joint ventures, acquisition financing structures, shareholder structures, management incentives, etc. He also specializes in fund formation.

He joined the firm in 2007. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Oslo, with foreign study ships at University of Dundee. Prior to joining Schjødt, Knut worked with Wiersholm and before that with the Ministry of Finance, Tax Department.

Knut has been a partner in Schjødt since joining the firm in 2007, and currently heads our Corporate Department.
