Leila advises on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters in the energy, shipping and renewables sectors. She acts for ship owners, operators, offshore service companies, shipyards and specialist fabricators, ship management companies and some of the world’s largest commodities traders.
Leila has experience across a broad range of disputes including litigation before the English and Australian courts as well as institutional (LMAA, LCIA and ICC) and ad-hoc arbitrations. She has also advised on a wide range of contracts, including shipbuilding, offshore construction and services, ship management and agency and long-term charterparties.
Leila has spent time on secondment to one of the world’s leading independent FPSO operators. She is also dual-qualified as an English solicitor and a barrister and solicitor in Australia, having started her career at an international law firm in Australia.
