- How to navigate an increasingly demanding risk landscape?

War in the Middle East, increasingly comprehensive sanctions packages against Russia and heightened enforcement by authorities in both the EU and the USA mean that compliance risk related to business partners has never been more relevant. Inadequate risk management can result in significant costs, criminal liability, loss of revenue and reputational damage. Third Party Risk Management should therefore be a central component of any organisation's compliance programme – regardless of size.

IDD requirements must be adapted to various regulations, including sanctions and export control and AML legislation and the Norwegian Transparency Act. Foreign legislation and a company's contracts may also impose requirements on the IDD process. Knowledge of key regulatory frameworks and the organisation's obligations is therefore essential for conducting adequate IDD processes.

Together with leading expertise from Wilhelmsen Ships Service, Advokatfirmaet Schjødt invites you to a breakfast seminar (and webinar) on IDD and risk management related to business partners. We will provide you with an update on the current risk landscape and key legislation, as well as practical input on how organisations can develop procedures for on-boarding and monitoring of customers, suppliers, distributors, agents and JV partners.

Topics covered include:

- Regulatory developments, sanctions and export control compliance, and the current risk landscape

- Framework, scope and procedures for IDD processes

- The IDD toolbox

- Follow-up on findings and "red flags" – crisis management
