Elise Chen

As China Desk Manager Elise is a key resource in Schjødt's services related to trade and investment between China and Norway. Her role is primarily marketing and communication with regards to clients, business partners and contacts, including assisting clients in their contact with public authorities and organizations involved in Norway/China business, in particular inbound investments from China to Norway. 

Before joining Schjødt, Elise worked as Business Manager, China Desk Responsible at DLA Piper, China Desk Manager at Schjødt, Project manager at IBM Norway. She has also experience from industry, banking & finance. She has been actively engaged in developing trade and investment between China and Norway for many years. Elise was Chairman of the Board of The Norwegian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (NCCC) for 8 years and since 2017, she has been Managing Director in NCCC. 

Elise has a double-bachelor in information technology from Shanghai University of Science & Technology and from Oslo University. She has also studied business management in Norway. For over 25 years Elise has also worked with music and other cultural development projects between China and Norway. She was the initiator and programme leader for the Chinese Culture Festival in Norway in 2004, an organisation that has since then held concerts and other events in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Tromsø. 

Elise speaks fluent English, Norwegian, Mandarin and Shanghainese.
