Naaika Himidi

Naaika advises clients on the structuring and execution of complex Danish and cross‑border financing transactions. She has extensive experience in acting for private‑equity sponsors, corporates, banks, pension funds and other institutional lenders, with a particular focus on leveraged finance, acquisition financing, working‑capital facilities and asset‑based financing—including utilities infrastructure, aircraft and vessels.

She regularly supports clients in navigating insolvency scenarios, including financial restructurings, and protection of creditor positions in bankruptcy proceedings.

Naaika also brings significant operator‑side experience from the fintech and payments sector. She advises on licensing requirements, regulatory scrutiny, operational resilience, outsourcing arrangements and broader risk‑management obligations. In addition, she has hands‑on experience with the legal and commercial issues arising when scaling venture‑capital‑backed SaaS businesses.

A lawyer since 2010, Naaika joined Schjødt in 2026. Her background includes serving as VP of Legal in a Danish unicorn fintech, a visiting lawyer role at Danske Bank, and more than a decade with Kromann Reumert’s Tier 1 Banking & Finance and Restructuring & Insolvency teams.
