People talking outside

We are delighted to announce that Schjødt is strengthening its team in Sweden. From 9 June, we will be welcoming Partner Peder Boström, who brings over a decade of experience in employment law, having worked at another Stockholm-based law firm as well as with both employer and employee organisations. Peder advises on all aspects of employment law.

We are also proud to share that, effective from May 2025, two of our Associates, Sara Kristine Råum and Kristina Bjørkedal Vågnes, have been promoted to Senior Associate, while one of our Senior Associates, Jørgen Hustad, has been promoted to Senior Lawyer. Their promotions reflect both their skill and dedication.

It has been a productive and exciting start to the year for our employment team, with a series of seminars and forums covering key developments. Below are a few highlights:

  • In Oslo, our employment team hosted the first meeting of the Young in HR forum, designed to provide a platform for younger HR and management professionals to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and build meaningful networks across sectors.

  • Two of our team members held a lecture during the annual employment law seminar 2025, held in Sandefjord, Bergen and Oslo. Kristina Vågnes gave a lecture on written warnings in the employment relationship. Martin Jetlund talked about the organization of working hours, with a particular focus on clarifying the employer's obligations in light of the Supreme Court's decision in HR-2024-423-A, where Martin argued the case on behalf of the employer, who was successful in arguing that night work should not be exempted for employees with health challenges, since this would cause "significant inconvenience to the business".

  • Our Stavanger team, led by Iselin Nybø and Trine Vabø, hosted seminars on whistleblowing and sick leave—topics that remain of great interest to our clients.

We look forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings!
