Charlotte specialises in competition law and related regulatory matters. She advises clients on all aspects of competition law, including merger control, foreign direct investment (FDI), abuse of dominance, restrictive agreements and state aid.
She has extensive experience advising on competition law aspects of M&A transactions, merger control assessments and filings, transaction structuring, and negotiation of competition-related clauses. She works closely with transaction teams and clients to identify and manage regulatory risks and to support the successful execution of transactions.
Charlotte also advises on regulatory compliance and investigations. She assists clients in the design and implementation of compliance programmes and in managing regulatory risk across areas such as competition law, sanctions, export controls and anti-corruption. She has experience representing clients in proceedings before Danish and European competition authorities and courts, as well as assisting clients in investigations and handling sensitive regulatory matters involving multiple stakeholders.
Her background from leading Danish law firms, senior in-house leadership roles at multinational companies, and from the EFTA Surveillance Authority gives her a strong practical understanding of how regulatory risks arise and are managed in complex business environments. She has led competition and regulatory work across multiple jurisdictions and advised senior management and boards on complex and business-critical matters.
Charlotte assists clients across industries with assessing regulatory risks, structuring commercial arrangements and transactions, and navigating dialogue with competition authorities and other regulators. Her advice is pragmatic and solution-oriented, with a clear focus on providing guidance that is legally robust and workable in practice.
She also has extensive experience with ESG-related regulatory matters.
