Erling is part of the Corporate M&A department, and he joined Schjødt in 1998. Erling specialises in M&A, corporate finance, securities law, corporate regulatory issues, restructuring and insolvency. 


Erling was educated at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bergen. Prior to joining Schjødt he was one of three partners in the law firm, Ueland, Skjerpe, Kolstø. Erling is a leading Norwegian practitioner in corporate law, including particular expertise in restructuring and insolvency matters. He has been heavily involved in several large and complex restructuring issues of companies and company groups, and holds extensive experience from advising clients on regulatory issues related to the securities trading act and securities fund act. He is often found as lead advisor on larger transactions.


Erling has previously been the Managing Partner of Schjødt from 2005-2007 and from 2009-2014.
