Karen Steffensen

Karen is a senior associate in the Transactions department. Her principal areas of work are in private M&A, investments, corporate law matters and commercial contracts. She frequently represents and advises domestic and international industrial companies and Private Equity funds in connection with acquisitions, mergers, investments and other transactions within the technology, software, energy, shipping, aquaculture and real estate sectors, both cross border and within the Norwegian market.

Karen also specializes in corporate law and has extensive experience in advising local and international companies in corporate law matters, contract law matters and on other issues forming part of the client's day to day business.

In addition, she also has experience in advising and representing companies in distress situations and restructuring proceedings, as well as handling bankruptcy and liquidation proceedings.



Karen joined Schjødt in 2019. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bergen.
