Real Estate Development

Schjødt's real estate development group has over the last decades worked on some of the most important and complex real estate development projects in Scandinavia, giving the group unique expertise within its field. We have real estate specialists present at all our offices, who can provide our clients with the best advice based on regional and local knowledge. The group, too, is composed of a good mix of experienced partners and younger up-and-coming lawyers, which allows us to set up a tailor-made team adapted to our client's needs in each case. Our clients are among the largest real estate developers in the Nordics.

The group has particularly strong expertise related to large-scale and complex city-development and infrastructure projects. We have been involved in most of the larger city and area development projects in the larger Oslo region in recent time. Our expertise extends to development projects encompassing residences as well as offices/commerce, industry and infrastructure, etc.

We act as an advisor on all phases of such development projects, and are often called on to assist from the very beginning of a project, planning and organizing property and company structure, to the last phase of realization (sale) of the completed product. We also collaborate seamlessly with our tax and VAT expertise.
