Bente Eide Fossmark

Bente specializes in financial regulatory matters, with a focus on asset management, sustainability, the establishment and structuring of investment funds and financial structures. In her current role at Schjødt's Financial Regulatory department, she advises domestic and international clients on regulatory compliance, transactions, customer contracts, product development, and business setup and closure. She regularly assists companies in the fintech, insurance, and fund industries with day-to-day legal challenges, ensuring alignment with Norwegian and EU/EEA regulations. Prior to focusing on financial regulation, Bente built experience in property development and real estate transactions, including due diligence, zoning, planning and building law, disputes, and drafting development agreements.

Bente joined the firm in 2022. Prior to joining Schjødt full time, she had traineeships at Schjødt and several other law firms. In addition, she was assigned the Schjødt scholarship in the spring of 2022 for her master thesis about development agreements. Bente also participated in the study abroad program at Ramon Llull University. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Oslo.
