Mats Anderson

Mats is a former justice in the Swedish Supreme Administrative Court with over four decades of legal experience. His career spans both private practice and judicial appointments. Prior to joining Schjødt in 2025, Mats served as a justice in the Supreme Administrative Court, and prior to that, he was a partner in a leading Swedish and international law firm, and a judge in the Administrative Court of Appeal. 

As a senior member of Schjød's tax department, Mats brings extensive expertise in tax issues related to private and public M&A, capital markets transactions, real estate deals, private equity investments, VAT and tax controversy. Mats has unparalleled practical experience applying tax law principles at the highest levels of both judicial decision-making and commercial advisory services.
