Senior Lawyer
Rachel is a shipping and offshore lawyer, with a wide range of experience advising clients on contentious and non-contentious matters. Her practice covers the full range of admiralty work, including collision, salvage, grounding, shipboard fire, wreck removal, general average and unsafe port, as well as disputes and issues arising from charterparties, bills of lading, COAs, ship management contracts and cargo claims.
Rachel is experienced in litigating in the English court and in London and international arbitration under all main institutional rules. She has represented a range of clients (including shipowners, P&I Clubs, charterers, H&M underwriters and offshore energy contractors/operators) on complex and multi-jurisdictional disputes. Before joining Schjødt, Rachel spent thirteen years at Ince, beginning as a trainee and ending as a senior member of the shipping team.
