Andreas heads our Financial Services Group. He is an asset management and sustainability specialist, and holds wide experience with establishment and structuring of all types of investment funds and structures in Norway and abroad (Luxembourg, Guernsey, Jersey, Sweden, Cayman, Ireland etc.). He is considered to be one of the leading regulatory experts in the Norwegian asset management industry and continuously advise asset managers on all parts of their operations.
Andreas advice managers/GPs on the structuring and formation of funds, including advising on terms, structure, team investments, drafting of fund documentation, negotiations with LPs etc. He also advise investors/LPs when making fund investments in Norway and abroad (including negotiations on terms, sustainability review, tax etc.).
An integral part of his activity is advising on ESG/sustainability for the asset management industry, hereunder SFDR and the EU Taxonomy.
Andreas holds several board positions at regulated companies and is frequently used as a speaker.
Andreas has been a lawyer since 2009 and joined Schjødt in 2018. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Oslo.
Andreas is mentioned as "fund expert" by Legal 500 and a "private equity specialist" by IFLR 1000, and his team is regarded as a "market leader in sustainable finance and asset management" in the Legal 500 Green Guide.
Andreas is the author of the legal commentary to the Norwegian AIF Act, EuVECA, ELTIF and EuSEF regulation in Norway.
