Andreas Lowzow

Andreas heads Schjødt's Asset Management & Investment Funds group and is one of Norway's leading specialists in asset management law.

He advises on the full lifecycle of investment funds — from structuring and establishment to investor negotiations, regulatory approvals and ongoing operations. His experience covers all major fund types and jurisdictions, including Norway, Luxembourg, Ireland, Guernsey, Sweden and the Cayman Islands: open-ended and closed-ended structures, UCITS, alternative investment funds, joint ventures and club deals.

A core part of his practice is advising managers and GPs on fund formation: structure, terms, team investments, fund documentation and LP negotiations. He also acts for institutional investors and LPs on fund investments globally, including term negotiations, sustainability reviews and tax considerations. 

He frequently advises on specialised M&A transactions within the asset management space.

Andreas is the author of the legal commentaries to the Norwegian AIF Act and the Norwegian regulations implementing EuVECA, ELTIF and EuSEF — the practical references for practitioners and regulators in Norway.

He holds several board positions at regulated asset managers and alternative investment funds, including as chair, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
