Charlie Boyles

Charlie focuses on dispute resolution and advises on a broad range of shipping and insurance issues. He has assisted shipowners, charterers, P&I insurers and cargo interests in respect of disputes arising from charterparties, bills of lading, pool agreements and shipbuilding contracts. He also regularly advises on wet shipping matters including unsafe port claims, collisions, fire and groundings. Charlie also advises on issues of coverage under the hull, war and cargo clauses and P&I club rules. He has wide experience in insurance matters and has dealt with disputes arising from reinsurance, property, aviation and political risk policies. 

Charlie regularly acts in both arbitration and in the English High Court. He has extensive experience of various forms of alternative dispute resolution and has litigated in the appellate Courts. 

Before joining Schjødt in October 2023, Charlie trained and qualified at Ince & Co in London.
