Gervais is an English law qualified senior asset/project finance lawyer, formerly a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright and Clifford Chance in Singapore for 20 years.

He has advised on a wide range of offshore oil and gas/shipping projects (eg floating LNG/floating production/floating gas to power/cruise/drilling/tankers) commodities/renewable energy sectors. He has extensive experience in syndicated and structured debt financing, leasing, debt restructuring, private equity investment, acquisition financing, receivable backed financing, Islamic financing and export credit-supported financing (including IFC, JBIC/NEXI, KEXIM/KSURE, CHINA EXIM, SINOSURE, SACE, and COFACE structured transactions).

Gervais has also advised on corporate acquisitions, debt and equity capital market transactions, and joint ventures. Clients include commercial banks, investment banks, leasing companies, shipping companies, offshore contractors, private equity funds, energy companies, trading companies, and export credit agencies.
