Søren Egeberg Petersen

Søren focuses on M&A and corporate law and advises on all phases of M&A transactions, from preparation and structuring through negotiation and execution. He advises founders, Danish and international corporates, and private equity sponsors on domestic and cross‑border transactions, investments and shareholder-related matters. 

Most recently, Søren served as General Counsel of a private equity‑backed Nordic IT group, where he advised the board and executive management on strategic matters, including M&A activities, structural matters, corporate governance and key operational issues. His in‑house background allows him to deliver clear, pragmatic and commercially grounded advice reflecting both investor and management perspectives. 

Prior to his in‑house role, Søren spent several years in private practice, where he was among the most active M&A lawyers in Denmark. During this period, he was recognised by IFLR1000 for his M&A work.
