Schjødt is taking significant steps towards further building on its fully integrated, pan-Scandinavian employment law offering. With strategic additions in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, we are establishing the largest and most comprehensive employment law team in the region, uniquely positioned to support clients in complex and cross-border matters.
As of 1 March 2026, the highly respected Tier 1 employment team at Norrbom Vinding has become part of Schjødt, marking one of the most significant developments in the Scandinavian employment law landscape in recent years.
With a team of approximately 20 seasoned specialists based in Copenhagen, Norrbom Vinding is widely regarded as Denmark’s leading employment law practice. The team brings unparalleled expertise across all areas of Danish and international employment law, including complex investigations, restructuring, high stakes disputes, and strategic advisory work for major employers.
In Norway, Jan Fougner will join Schjødt 1 September 2026.
Fougner is widely respected as one of Norway's leading employment lawyers. Fougner holds a PhD and he has litigated around 30 cases before the Supreme Court. He is Professor II of Employment Law at BI Norwegian Business School and the author of several textbooks in employment law, which are widely used by practitioners and academics, affirming his status as a leading academic voice in the employment law field. He has been ranked as a Star Individual by Chambers and is in the Hall of Fame by Legal 500 for Employment, reflecting his exceptional standing within the profession.
In Sweden, Karin Krantz strengthens the Stockholm employment team, bringing a wealth of experience in employment law and compensation schemes. She will join Schjødt in May 2026 and will play a key role in advancing the firm's offering in Sweden and beyond. Karin is a highly experienced lawyer, with nine years at Nordea, the Nordic region's largest financial services group, as well as a background from one of Sweden's leading law firms. Her appointment reflects Schjødt's continued commitment to attracting leading legal talent across the Nordics.
With these key additions, Schjødt now offers one of Scandinavia’s most powerful and specialized employment law teams, with strong capabilities in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. Collectively, we are better positioned than ever to support our clients with strategic advice, dispute resolution, and the handling of employment‑related matters, wherever in the Scandinavian region the need arises.
