Jacob is a highly regarded dispute resolution lawyer with close to a decade of experience advising on complex and high-stakes matters across litigation and arbitration. His practice is firmly focused on construction and infrastructure disputes, commercial disputes (including sale of goods disputes), insurance-related litigation and professional liability, where he is regularly involved in technically demanding and high-value cases.
He has acted in a number of large-scale and high-profile disputes, including major arbitration proceedings, and is frequently involved in complex cases. Jacob has also served as tribunal secretary in major arbitrations, providing him with unique insight into arbitral proceedings and the decision-making processes of leading arbitrators.
Prior to joining Schjødt, Jacob was at a global top-tier law firm and has further experience as an insurance lawyer, giving him a strong commercial and strategic perspective in contentious matters. His background also includes service as a law clerk at the Stockholm District Court, where he gained extensive experience in civil procedure and court practice.
Jacob regularly lectures on construction law and dispute resolution and is a prolific author, having published over 20 articles on, amongst other things, procedural and construction law.
