Kristian Gustav Andersson is highly specialised in restructuring and insolvency law and has been involved in a large number of bankruptcy proceedings and restructurings of both a national and international nature. Kristian advises on all aspects of insolvency and restructuring law and has extensive experience handling bankruptcy proceedings, liquidations, restructurings, bankruptcy-related disqualification matters, financial restructurings of distressed businesses, negotiations of composition arrangements and the safeguarding of creditor and stakeholder positions.
He also has substantial experience advising on complex M&A transactions, including distressed M&A, carve-outs, joint ventures and restructurings involving regulated assets. He has significant experience advising clients in the oil & gas and energy sector, alongside transactions and reorganisations across a broad range of industries. He further advises on the strategic legal and commercial aspects of distressed debt, special situations and cross-border restructuring matters.
Kristian has significant litigation experience and regularly represents and advises clients in complex and high-stakes disputes relating to insolvency, restructuring, transactions and creditor rights, including experience from international arbitration proceedings under the LCIA Rules. Kristian works closely with boards, management, investors, creditors and insolvency practitioners as a trusted adviser in legally and commercially challenging situations, assisting clients in making informed strategic decisions and achieving robust, pragmatic and sustainable outcomes.
