Malene works in the Copenhagen office and her principal area of work is a wide spectrum of Danish and international tax law. She works within M&A taxation, has extensive experience advising on tax exempt restructurings, establishment of group structures, and tax domiciliation for both companies and individuals. She has focus on majority shareholders' issues and tax issues relating to the transfer of tax residence but also works within employer reporting and withholding responsibilities and cross boarder employee tax as well as social security issues. Malene specializes in succession of companies (both private enterprises and corporations) on both the tax and legal side and have completed multiple successions of large family run companies with values up to DKK 730 million and with turnovers in the range of DKK 80 million to DKK 2.2. billion. She also assists high-net-worth individuals within private law with wills and prenup agreements.  

Malene joined Schjødt in 2023. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen. Malene has since 2021 been a member of the Danish Bar Council's tax committee.
