Marte Samnøy Harstad

Marte is part of Schjødt's dispute resolution department and compliance team. Her practice focuses on international trade sanctions, export controls, corporate investigations, anti-money laundering, human rights, and broader issues related to compliance and corporate governance. 

Marte holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Bergen. Prior to joining the firm full-time in 2026, she completed a traineeship at Schjødt and was awarded the Schjødt scholarship for her master thesis on corporate criminal liability. Her master’s thesis explored the relevance of sanctions compliance programs under the corporate criminal liability provisions. In addition to her law degree, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Law from BI Norwegian Business School.
