Mehmet Achik-El

Mehmet acts for UK and international clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, primarily in the energy, shipping and insurance sectors. Mehmet’s corporate experience includes advising on UK and cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements and investment agreements. He also assists clients with commercial contracts such as terms & conditions for the sale of goods, distribution and collaboration agreements.

Prior to joining Schjødt in 2021 , Mehmet worked in the corporate department of a City firm. He also completed a secondment to a leading (re)insurer, where he supported their in-house legal team with general corporate, regulatory and commercial matters.

Mehmet qualified as an English solicitor in 2016 and is a graduate of King's College London.
