William specializes in technology-related legal questions, particularly issues surrounding contracts, privacy, and intellectual property. His area of expertise revolves around cloud computing and software license agreements, use of open source software, digital copyright, privacy and data protection, cyber-security, and legal aspects artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain technology, and he regularly advises clients in contract negotiations, drafting agreements, transactions involving IT companies, and disputes surrounding the above-mentioned legal areas. William frequently holds presentations for expert networks within IT and privacy, including JUC and Juristenes Utdanningssenter.

William began his career at Schjødt in 2022, after receiving his Master of Law-degree from the University in Oslo. In university, he specialized in areas of law related to information technology. He completed a semester abroad at the University of Bologna, where he studied legal English, international trade law and legal aspects of artificial intelligence. The subject of his master's thesis was transportation of personal data from The European Union to third countries. During his legal studies he completed a one-year programme in informatics, focusing on programming and data safety and security, which is essential knowledge to provide precise legal advice in the tech industry.
