Julie Louise Steen
Junior Associate
Julie is part of Schjødt’s Financial Regulatory and Tax departments. Her practice focuses on corporate finance and corporate tax law, with particular expertise at the intersection between financial regulation and taxation.
She joined the firm in 2026 after obtaining her Master of Laws degree from the University of Bergen. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Lillehammer. Prior to joining the firm full-time, Julie completed a traineeship at Schjødt. She was also awarded the Schjødt Scholarship for her master’s thesis on the taxation of carried interest in the private equity sector under Norwegian tax law.
During her studies, Julie was an exchange student in London, where she obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in International Finance Law from Queen Mary University of London.
