Silje has more than ten years' experience advising the various players within the oil and gas industry, covering the vast majority of activities through the E&P value chain and other important parts of the business of E&P companies, such as transactions and disputes.
She is particularly specialised in oil and oil service related transactions, with a practice spanning from NCS license transactions to multinational assets swaps and global take-overs, as well as major E&P and oil service corporate transactions and rig transactions. Further, Silje advises on all operational matters relating to upstream oil and gas activities, particularly on contracts and regulatory matters relating to exploration and developments. She frequently assists in E&P related disputes.
In addition to regular external counselling, she has held a company secretary role in an E&P player for several years, and has worked two years full time for an exploration-focused player, gaining valuable insight into the E&P player mindset. Before joining Schjødt, she worked for law firm Simonsen Vogt Wiig.
