Silje is an experienced industry lawyer, particularly within the energy industries. She specialises in corporate compliance and ESG and is a sanctions and trade control expert. Within risk management, she covers both the preventive and the responsive stages and her work comprises assisting clients on highly complex matters with both regulatory and strategic/reputational aspects, managing expectations of and the relationship with various stakeholders such as authorities, owners, counterparties etc. With a broad and international industry background, she offers practical and to-the-point advice on navigating within the prevailing risk picture, addressing topics such as anti-corruption and bribery, anti-money laundering, human rights and decent working conditions, and environmental matters.
She has assisted on a high number of oil and oil service related transactions, with a practice spanning from Norwegian shelf license transactions to global take-overs, as well as major E&P and oil service corporate transactions and rig transactions. Further, Silje advises on all operational matters relating to international oil and gas activities, particularly on contracts and regulatory matters relating to exploration and developments. She frequently assists in oil and gas related disputes.
